TWIG

Support for importing and exporting contacts from ThunderBird as a CSV file. Faster parsing of long addresses lists in Mail, and better links to Contacts. The Main feature no longer tries to include disabled mini-feature modules. print.css files have been fixed so that printed email messages are all black. Improper default primary and secondary menu types have been fixed. There is a workaround for double-double-quotes in Mail replies, and workarounds for TLS issues with recent UW-IMAPD servers and POP3 authentication. An incorrect phrase in the Hebrew source file has been fixed. The German language files have been updated.

Many updates and improvements have been made to
the CSS stylesheets. The use_https option was
improved to allow sites to choose HTTPS for logins
for all traffic, or to leave this decision to the
client. The securecookie.sqltable login handler
now allows multiple pages to be active from the
same client. An advanced security administrator
mode was enabled for admin group owners. This
release works with MySQL 4.1's new timestamp
format. The bookmarks feature can now import and
export.

Register_globals can now be on or off. A new theme was added. CSS was updated for better behavior with older browsers. Tabs are now created with CSS. The ability to color code levels of quoting in email messages was added. The original message date has been added to email replies. Several bugs have been fixed, and a few other enhancements have been added.

This is the first stable release in nearly two years, full of bugfixes and improvements. Major changes include the use of CSS to beautify and reduce page size, better translation support, improved message indicators in the Mail feature, and two exciting new icon packs. Several new features have been added, including support for calling TWIG from mailto: links, capacity graphs in the Mail feature, and for the first time, Javascript is used for minor buttons. The Search feature is now enabled by default, and TWIG now operates with register_globals = Off, requiring at least PHP 4.1.2.

This release fixes a few bugs that were present in the alpha2 release. The CSS is improved and more integrated. The code for using TWIG as the mailer for HTML mailto: links has been improved. At least PHP 4.1.2 is now required.
