0.8.3

This version features a large code cleanup of the ICQ protocol library to gain more functionality in less code. There is now implicit Unicode usage when sending messages to unicode-capable clients. There is automatic recovery from protocol handling errors, and automated sending of bug reports to the author. It now sends keepalive and ping packets.

0.8.0

The format of the startup file was changed. A new
modules infrastructure, based on properties and
metadata, allows independent modules to be created
more easily, and add new transports. Alicq can now
save changes in the startup file. Subgroups
(groups within other groups) are now supported.
Membership in several groups is now possible.
Multicast messages to groups can now be sent. The
state of groups (open or closed) is now saved on
exit. The transport encoding can be specified for
each contact other than the global one. A setup
wizard was added. A configuration panel was added.
